Greaton… celebrating 8 years of progress

It’s hard to believe Greaton is already in its 8th year of operation!

Established in 2011 from the sheer determination and hard graft of its entrepreneurial founder and Managing Director, Nicho Teng, Greaton has quickly become a market leader in the delivery of Australian residential projects and helped to shape the communities in which it develops.

With several recently completed apartment projects delivered in both NSW and SA, the company also has short-term accommodation in its sights, and is working on several landmark hotels to add to its growing project portfolio.

Greaton kicked off its residential portfolio with the delivery of one of Adelaide’s biggest CBD-based urban renewal projects – West Franklin. Completed late last year, the $140M project includes 274 apartments, penthouses and terraces across two towers of 17 and 19 storeys.

Featuring amenities unique to the Adelaide market, including a cinema, library/conference area and golf driving simulator room, the project was soon embraced. Only four apartments and two of the four penthouses currently remain for sale.

The adage of ‘location location’ has rung true for West Franklin’s buyers, who have been impressed by the location’s vibrant lifestyle, along with the host of amenity offerings.

“Around 70% of sales have been to owner-occupiers who were attracted by West Franklin’s short walking distance to CBD offices, Adelaide Central Market, private and public schools and universities, trendy cafes, bars and restaurants,” said Nicho.

“West Franklin couldn’t be better located and offers a unique lifestyle our buyers were quick to take advantage of. I find it really gratifying to think we are providing fulfilling lifestyles for our residents – that enables them to make the most of their surroundings.”

The same philosophies of lifestyle and location also apply at The Ribbon hotel, which Greaton is developing in the heart of Sydney’s tourist hotspot Darling Harbour, in combination with Grocon. Designed by award-winning architects Hassell Studio, the $700M landmark waterfront hotel will be home to Sydney’s first W Hotel.

Currently under construction, the 25-storey building will comprise a hotel and serviced apartments, state-of-the-art IMAX Theatre, retail and entertainment spaces.

“We’re all about providing what customers want in terms of convenience and amenity. As a visitor to Sydney, you couldn’t ask for a better location to experience the city, and with the ‘W Hotel’ brand on it, it will set a new benchmark for accommodation in the area,” adds Nicho.

The theme continues, this time in Adelaide, with another bold project – the redevelopment of the iconic Adelaide GPO on King William Street – into the Westin Adelaide. The five-star hotel will be housed in a 15-storey tower behind the heritage building, with 285 rooms offering sweeping views of the city and Victoria Square.

Meanwhile, a development application has just been lodged for yet another resort, this time in the renowned McLaren Vale wine region of SA. Set amongst the thriving vines on the grounds of the Wirra Wirra winery, the future Wirra Wirra Wellness Resort will deliver a 33-key resort spread across 10 separate buildings, with nine double-storey buildings, known as casitas, being built.

Greaton is also celebrating another exciting milestone – the settlement of its first project – Oxford Central, in the suburb of Epping in Sydney’s north-west.

Designed by international award-winning architectural practice Marchese Partners, Oxford Central features 251 premium apartments across two 17-storey towers.

According to National Sales and Marketing Manager, Cameron Porter, only six of the development’s apartments remain for sale, with the project’s location again a key factor for many buyers.

“With Epping Train Station just 150 metres away, Oxford Central residents are some of the best-connected people in Sydney,” Cameron explained.

“Now the Sydney Metro North West is open for business, our buyers have access to CBD train services every four minutes during peak periods. They are going to love this,” he added.

“At Greaton, our formula is simple… it’s about researching what people want and delivering it where they want it, with high design and superior quality. It’s also about collaborating with the best project partners in the business, who can help us deliver our portfolio of existing and future projects. We have big plans to deliver world-class projects across both the residential and hotel sectors throughout Australia,” added Nicho.
